This FETAC Level 4 Guarding Skills Training Course 4N1118 qualification provides participants with the minimum training requirements, determined to apply for the Private Security Authority (PSA) Guarding Skills License.

Under new FETAC requirements this course requires 100 hrs learning; 30 hours must be contact time which can only be achieved by attending 5 X 7.5 hours training days. To make up the remaining 70 hours you will be required to conduct a home study element of the course prior to attending, covering the more theoretical aspects of the program.

Important:- This course cannot be delivered in less than 5 days as its breaching FETAC’s mandatory contact-time for trainees. The course content is very comprehensive and requires the participant to have a diverse range of skills on completion of the training which can only be provided in the time allotted.

Manual Handling Training Course

The Manual Handling course provided by RFC Security is designed to instruct employees in the theory and practice of safe manual handling. To comply with Part 4 Chapter 2 of the “General Application Regulation Regulations 2007, Manual Handling of Loads”, which states that staff engaged in manual handling must be given training in the safe manual handling of loads.

Who Should Attend

Any-one whose work includes Manual Handling activities i.e. the transporting or supporting of loads that includes lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving of heavy or awkward loads, where those activities are likely to lead to back injury.

Assessment

Theory test, followed by a practical assessment of safe manual handling lifting.

Refresher Training & Certification Validity Period

Refresher training is recommended at intervals not greater than 3 years.

Additional Information

DVD and laptop/projector presentation are used. Notes on safe Manual Handling are provided for each participant.

Manual Handling Certification

Guardian Safety Manual Handling Certificates are awarded to all participants upon successful completion of course.

On completion of the Fire Warden (Marshal) Training Course, participants will be able to;

Terry Conlon is a Director of  the RFC Group, head of training development & innovations with over  20 years experience in the security industry both in operations & training, Terry is a qualified security industry trainer, manual handling instructor, fire instructor, world host facilitator & front line terrorism instructor with an advanced diploma in Asset Risk Management & advanced diploma in New Terrorism & Counter Measures. Terry is also registered with the Security Institute of Ireland as a recogmized & registered Security Trainer appearing on the WWW.SII.IE website register of approved trainers.
